תהילים 82

מִזְמוֹר לְאָסָף אֱלֹהִים נִצָּב בַּעֲדַת־אֵל בְּקֶרֶב אֱלֹהִים יִשְׁפֹּט׃

Mizmor le'Asaf, Elohim nitzav ba'adat El, bekerev elohim yishpot.

A psalm of Asaph. God stands in the divine assembly; among the divine beings He pronounces judgment.

עַד־מָתַי תִּשְׁפְּטוּ־עָוֶל וּפְנֵי רְשָׁעִים תִּשְׂאוּ־סֶלָה׃

Ad matai tishpetu avel, ufnei resha'im tis'u sela.

How long will you judge perversely, showing favor to the wicked? Selah.

שִׁפְטוּ־דַל וְיָתוֹם עָנִי וָרָשׁ הַצְדִּיקוּ׃

Shiftu dal veyatom, ani varash hatzdiku.

Judge the wretched and the orphan, vindicate the lowly and the poor,

פַּלְּטוּ־דַל וְאֶבְיוֹן מִיַּד רְשָׁעִים הַצִּילוּ׃

Paltu dal ve'evyon, miyad resha'im hatzilu.

rescue the wretched and the needy; save them from the hand of the wicked.

לֹא יָדְעוּ וְלֹא יָבִינוּ בַּחֲשֵׁכָה יִתְהַלָּכוּ יִמּוֹטוּ כָּל־מוֹסְדֵי אָרֶץ׃

Lo yad'u velo yavinu, bachashecha yithallachu, yimotu kol mosdei aretz.

They neither know nor understand, they go about in darkness; all the foundations of the earth totter.

אֲנִי־אָמַרְתִּי אֱלֹהִים אַתֶּם וּבְנֵי עֶלְיוֹן כֻּלְּכֶם׃

Ani amarti elohim atem, uvnei Elyon kulechem.

I had taken you for divine beings, sons of the Most High, all of you;

אָכֵן כְּאָדָם תְּמוּתוּן וּכְאַחַד הַשָּׂרִים תִּפֹּלוּ׃

Achen ke'adam temutun, uche'achad hasarim tipolu.

but you shall die as men do, fall like any prince.

קוּמָה אֱלֹהִים שָׁפְטָה הָאָרֶץ כִּי־אַתָּה תִנְחַל בְּכָל־הַגּוֹיִם׃

Kuma Elohim shofta ha'aretz, ki Ata tinchal bechol hagoyim.

Arise, O God, judge the earth, for all the nations are Your possession.
