תהילים 104

בָּרֲכִי נַפְשִׁי אֶת־יְהוָה יְהוָה אֱלֹהַי גָּדַלְתָּ מְּאֹד הוֹד וְהָדָר לָבָשְׁתָּ׃

Barchi nafshi et Adonai, Adonai Elohai gadalta me'od, hod vehadar lavashta.

Bless the LORD, O my soul; O LORD, my God, You are very great; You are clothed in glory and majesty,

עֹטֶה־אוֹר כַּשַּׂלְמָה נוֹטֶה שָׁמַיִם כַּיְרִיעָה׃

Ote or kasalma, note shamayim kayri'a.

wrapped in a robe of light; You spread the heavens like a tent cloth.

הַמְקָרֶה בַמַּיִם עֲלִיּוֹתָיו הַשָּׂם־עָבִים רְכוּבוֹ הַמְהַלֵּךְ עַל־כַּנְפֵי־רוּחַ׃

Hamekare vamayim aliyotav, hasam avim rechuvo, hamhalech al kanfei ru'ach.

He sets the rafters of His lofts in the waters, makes the clouds His chariot, moves on the wings of the wind.

עֹשֶׂה מַלְאָכָיו רוּחוֹת מְשָׁרְתָיו אֵשׁ לֹהֵט׃

Oseh mal'achav ruchot, mesharetav esh lohet.

He makes the winds His messengers, fiery flames His servants.

יָסַד־אֶרֶץ עַל־מְכוֹנֶיהָ בַּל־תִּמּוֹט עוֹלָם וָעֶד׃

Yasad eretz al mechoneha, bal timot olam va'ed.

He established the earth on its foundations, so that it shall never totter.

תְּהוֹם כַּלְּבוּשׁ כִּסִּיתוֹ עַל־הָרִים יַעַמְדוּ־מָיִם׃

Tehom kalvush kisito, al harim ya'amdu mayim.

You covered it with the deep as with a garment; the waters stood above the mountains.

מִן־גַּעֲרָתְךָ יְנוּסוּן מִן־קוֹל רַעַמְךָ יֵחָפֵזוּן׃

Min ga'aratcha yenusun, min kol ra'amcha yechafezun.

They fled at Your blast, rushed away at the sound of Your thunder,

יַעֲלוּ הָרִים יֵרְדוּ בְקָעוֹת אֶל־מְקוֹם זֶה יָסַדְתָּ לָהֶם׃

Ya'alu harim yerdu veka'ot, el makom ze yasadta lahem.

mountains rising, valleys sinking—to the place You established for them.

גְּבוּל־שַׂמְתָּ בַּל־יַעֲבֹרוּן בַּל־יְשׁוּבוּן לְכַסּוֹת הָאָרֶץ׃

Gevul samta bal ya'avorun, bal yeshuvun lechasot ha'aretz.

You set bounds they must not pass so that they never again cover the earth.

הַמְשַׁלֵּחַ מַעְיָנִים בַּנְּחָלִים בֵּין הָרִים יְהַלֵּכוּן׃

Hamshalei'ach ma'yanim banechalim, bein harim yehalchun.

You make springs gush forth in torrents; they make their way between the mountains,

יַשְׁקוּ כָּל־חַיְתוֹ שָׂדָי יִשְׁבְּרוּ פְרָאִים צְמָאָם׃

Yashku kol chayto sadai, yishberu fera'im tzema'am.

giving drink to all the wild beasts; the wild asses slake their thirst.

עֲלֵיהֶם עוֹף־הַשָּׁמַיִם יִשְׁכּוֹן מִבֵּין עֳפָאיִם יִתְּנוּ־קוֹל׃

Aleihem of hashamayim yishkon, mibein ofa'im yitnu kol.

The birds of the sky dwell beside them and sing among the foliage.

מַשְׁקֶה הָרִים מֵעֲלִיּוֹתָיו מִפְּרִי מַעֲשֶׂיךָ תִּשְׂבַּע הָאָרֶץ׃

Mashke harim me'aliyotav, mipri ma'asecha tisba ha'aretz.

You water the mountains from Your lofts; the earth is sated from the fruit of Your work.

מַצְמִיחַ חָצִיר לַבְּהֵמָה וְעֵשֶׂב לַעֲבֹדַת הָאָדָם לְהוֹצִיא לֶחֶם מִן־הָאָרֶץ׃

Matzmei'ach chatzir labehema, ve'esev la'avodat ha'adam, lehotzi lechem min ha'aretz.

You make the grass grow for the cattle, and herbage for man's labor that he may get food out of the earth—

וְיַיִן יְשַׂמַּח לְבַב־אֱנוֹשׁ לְהַצְהִיל פָּנִים מִשָּׁמֶן וְלֶחֶם לְבַב־אֱנוֹשׁ יִסְעָד׃

Veyayin yesamach levav enosh, lehatz'hil panim mishamen, velechem levav enosh yis'ad.

wine that cheers the hearts of men, oil that makes the face shine, and bread that sustains man's life.

יִשְׂבְּעוּ עֲצֵי יְהוָה אַרְזֵי לְבָנוֹן אֲשֶׁר נָטָע׃

Yisbe'u atzei Adonai, arzei Levanon asher nata.

The trees of the LORD drink their fill, the cedars of Lebanon, His own planting,

אֲשֶׁר־שָׁם צִפֳּרִים יְקַנֵּנוּ חֲסִידָה בְּרוֹשִׁים בֵּיתָהּ׃

Asher sham tziporim yekannenu, chasida beroshim beita.

where birds make their nests; the stork has her home in the junipers.

הָרִים הַגְּבֹהִים לַיְּעֵלִים סְלָעִים מַחְסֶה לַשְׁפַנִּים׃

Harim hagevohim laye'elim, sela'im machse lashfanim.

The high mountains are for wild goats; the crags are a refuge for rock-badgers.

עָשָׂה יָרֵחַ לְמוֹעֲדִים שֶׁמֶשׁ יָדַע מְבוֹאוֹ׃

Asa yare'ach lemo'adim, shemesh yada mevo'o.

He made the moon to mark the seasons; the sun knows when to set.

תָּשֶׁת־חֹשֶׁךְ וִיהִי לָיְלָה בּוֹ־תִרְמֹשׂ כָּל־חַיְתוֹ־יָעַר׃

Tashet choshech vihi layla, bo tirmos kol chayto ya'ar.

You bring darkness and it is night, when all the beasts of the forest stir.

הַכְּפִירִים שֹׁאֲגִים לַטָּרֶף וּלְבַקֵּשׁ מֵאֵל אָכְלָם׃

Hakefirim sho'agim lataref, ulevakesh me'El ochlam.

The lions roar for prey, seeking their food from God.

תִּזְרַח הַשֶּׁמֶשׁ יֵאָסֵפוּן וְאֶל־מְעוֹנֹתָם יִרְבָּצוּן׃

Tizrach hashemesh ye'asefun, ve'el me'onotam yirbatzun.

When the sun rises, they come home and crouch in their dens.

יֵצֵא אָדָם לְפָעֳלוֹ וְלַעֲבֹדָתוֹ עֲדֵי־עָרֶב׃

Yetze adam lefo'olo, vela'avodato adei arev.

Man then goes out to his work, to his labor until the evening.

מָה־רַבּוּ מַעֲשֶׂיךָ יְהוָה כֻּלָּם בְּחָכְמָה עָשִׂיתָ מָלְאָה הָאָרֶץ קִנְיָנֶךָ׃

Ma rabu ma'asecha Adonai, kulam bechochma asita, male'a ha'aretz kinyanecha.

How many are the things You have made, O LORD; You have made them all with wisdom; the earth is full of Your creations.

זֶה הַיָּם גָּדוֹל וּרְחַב יָדָיִם שָׁם־רֶמֶשׂ וְאֵין מִסְפָּר חַיּוֹת קְטַנּוֹת עִם־גְּדֹלוֹת׃

Ze hayam gadol urechav yadayim, sham remes ve'ein mispar, chayot ketanot im gedolot.

There is the sea, vast and wide, with its creatures beyond number, living things, small and great.

שָׁם אֳנִיּוֹת יְהַלֵּכוּן לִוְיָתָן זֶה־יָצַרְתָּ לְשַׂחֶק־בּוֹ׃

Sham oniyot yehalechun, Livyatan ze yatzarta lesachek bo.

There go the ships, and Leviathan that You formed to sport with.

כֻּלָּם אֵלֶיךָ יְשַׂבֵּרוּן לָתֵת אָכְלָם בְּעִתּוֹ׃

Kulam elecha yesaberun, latet ochlam be'ito.

All of them look to You to give them their food when it is due.

תִּתֵּן לָהֶם יִלְקֹטוּן תִּפְתַּח יָדְךָ יִשְׂבְּעוּן טוֹב׃

Titen lahem yilkotun, tiftach yadcha yisbe'un tov.

Give it to them, they gather it up; open Your hand, they are well satisfied;

תַּסְתִּיר פָּנֶיךָ יִבָּהֵלוּן תֹּסֵף רוּחָם יִגְוָעוּן וְאֶל־עֲפָרָם יְשׁוּבוּן׃

Tastir panecha yibahelun, tosef rucham yigva'un ve'el afaram yeshuvun.

hide Your face, they are terrified; take away their breath, they perish and return to their dust.

תְּשַׁלַּח רוּחֲךָ יִבָּרֵאוּן וּתְחַדֵּשׁ פְּנֵי אֲדָמָה׃

Teshalach ruchacha yibare'un, utechadesh penei adama.

Send forth Your breath, they are created, and You renew the face of the earth.

יְהִי כְבוֹד יְהוָה לְעוֹלָם יִשְׂמַח יְהוָה בְּמַעֲשָׂיו׃

Yehi chevod Adonai le'olam, yismach Adonai bema'asav.

May the glory of the LORD endure forever; may the LORD rejoice in His works!

הַמַּבִּיט לָאָרֶץ וַתִּרְעָד יִגַּע בֶּהָרִים וְיֶעֱשָׁנוּ׃

Hamabit la'aretz vatir'ad, yiga beharim veye'eshanu.

He looks at the earth and it trembles; He touches the mountains and they smoke.

אָשִׁירָה לַיהוָה בְּחַיָּי אֲזַמְּרָה לֵאלֹהַי בְּעוֹדִי׃

Ashira laAdonai bechayai, azamera lElohai be'odi.

I will sing to the LORD as long as I live; all my life I will chant hymns to my God.

יֶעֱרַב עָלָיו שִׂיחִי אָנֹכִי אֶשְׂמַח בַּיהוָה׃

Ye'erav alav sichi, anochi esmach baAdonai.

May my prayer be pleasing to Him; I will rejoice in the LORD.

יִתַּמּוּ חַטָּאִים מִן־הָאָרֶץ וּרְשָׁעִים עוֹד אֵינָם בָּרֲכִי נַפְשִׁי אֶת־יְהוָה הַלְלוּ־יָהּ׃

Yitamu chata'im min ha'aretz, uresha'im od einam, barchi nafshi et Adonai, Halelu Yah.

May sinners disappear from the earth, and the wicked be no more. Bless the LORD, O my soul. Hallelujah.
