תהילים פרק צ״ב

מִזְמוֹר שִׁיר לְיוֹם הַשַּׁבָּת׃

Mizmor shir leyom haShabbat.

A psalm. A song; for the sabbath day.

טוֹב לְהֹדוֹת לַיהוָה וּלְזַמֵּר לְשִׁמְךָ עֶלְיוֹן׃

Tov lehodot laAdonai, ulezamer leshimcha Elyon.

It is good to praise the LORD, to sing hymns to Your name, O Most High,

לְהַגִּיד בַּבֹּקֶר חַסְדֶּךָ וֶאֱמוּנָתְךָ בַּלֵּילוֹת׃

Lehagid baboker chasdecha, ve'emunatcha baleilot.

to proclaim Your steadfast love at daybreak, Your faithfulness each night

עֲלֵי־עָשׂוֹר וַעֲלֵי־נָבֶל עֲלֵי הִגָּיוֹן בְּכִנּוֹר׃

Alei asor va'alei navel, alei higayon bechinor.

with a ten-stringed harp, with voice and lyre together.

כִּי שִׂמַּחְתַּנִי יְהוָה בְּפָעֳלֶךָ בְּמַעֲשֵׂי יָדֶיךָ אֲרַנֵּן׃

Ki simachtani Adonai befo'olecha, bema'asei yadecha aranen.

You have gladdened me by Your deeds, O LORD; I shout for joy at Your handiwork.

מַה־גָּדְלוּ מַעֲשֶׂיךָ יְהוָה מְאֹד עָמְקוּ מַחְשְׁבֹתֶיךָ׃

Ma gadlu ma'asecha Adonai, me'od amku machshevotecha.

How great are Your works, O LORD, how very subtle Your designs!

אִישׁ־בַּעַר לֹא יֵדָע וּכְסִיל לֹא־יָבִין אֶת־זֹאת׃

Ish ba'ar lo yeda, uchsil lo yavin et zot.

A brutish man cannot know, a fool cannot understand this:

בִּפְרֹחַ רְשָׁעִים כְּמוֹ עֵשֶׂב וַיָּצִיצוּ כָּל־פֹּעֲלֵי אָוֶן לְהִשָּׁמְדָם עֲדֵי־עַד׃

Bifro'ach resha'im kemo esev, vayatzitzu kol po'alei aven, lehishamdam adei ad.

that though the wicked sprout like grass, though all evildoers blossom, it is only that they may be destroyed forever.

וְאַתָּה מָרוֹם לְעֹלָם יְהוָה׃

Ve'Ata marom le'olam Adonai.

But You are exalted, O LORD, for all time.

כִּי הִנֵּה אֹיְבֶיךָ יְהוָה כִּי־הִנֵּה אֹיְבֶיךָ יֹאבֵדוּ יִתְפָּרְדוּ כָּל־פֹּעֲלֵי אָוֶן׃

Ki hine oyvecha Adonai, ki hine oyvecha yovedu, yitpardu kol po'alei aven.

Surely, Your enemies, O LORD, surely, Your enemies perish; all evildoers are scattered.

וַתָּרֶם כִּרְאֵים קַרְנִי בַּלֹּתִי בְּשֶׁמֶן רַעֲנָן׃

Vatarem kir'eim karni, baloti beshemen ra'anan.

You raise my horn high like that of a wild ox; I am soaked in freshening oil.

וַתַּבֵּט עֵינִי בְּשׁוּרָי בַּקָּמִים עָלַי מְרֵעִים תִּשְׁמַעְנָה אָזְנָי׃

Vatabet eini beshurai, bakamim alai mere'im tishmana oznai.

I shall see the defeat of my watchful foes, hear of the fall of those who rise against me.

צַדִּיק כַּתָּמָר יִפְרָח כְּאֶרֶז בַּלְּבָנוֹן יִשְׂגֶּה׃

Tzadik katamar yifrach, ke'erez baLevanon yisge.

The righteous bloom like a date-palm; they thrive like a cedar in Lebanon;

שְׁתוּלִים בְּבֵית יְהוָה בְּחַצְרוֹת אֱלֹהֵינוּ יַפְרִיחוּ׃

Shetu'lim beveit Adonai, bechatzrot Eloheinu yafrichu.

planted in the house of the LORD, they flourish in the courts of our God.

עוֹד יְנוּבוּן בְּשֵׂיבָה דְּשֵׁנִים וְרַעֲנַנִּים יִהְיוּ׃

Od yenuvun beseiva, deshenim vera'ananim yihyu.

In old age they still produce fruit; they are full of sap and freshness,

לְהַגִּיד כִּי־יָשָׁר יְהוָה צוּרִי וְלֹא־עַוְלָתָה בּוֹ׃

Lehagid ki yashar Adonai, tzuri velo avlata bo.

attesting that the LORD is upright, my rock, in whom there is no wrong.
