תהילים פרק צ׳

תְּפִלָּה לְמֹשֶׁה אִישׁ־הָאֱלֹהִים אֲדֹנָי מָעוֹן אַתָּה הָיִיתָ לָּנוּ בְּדֹר וָדֹר׃

Tefila leMoshe ish ha'Elohim, Adonai ma'on Ata hayita lanu bedor vador.

A prayer of Moses, the man of God. O Lord, You have been our refuge in every generation.

בְּטֶרֶם הָרִים יֻלָּדוּ וַתְּחוֹלֵל אֶרֶץ וְתֵבֵל וּמֵעוֹלָם עַד־עוֹלָם אַתָּה אֵל׃

Beterem harim yuladu, vatecholel eretz vetevel, ume'olam ad olam Ata El.

Before the mountains came into being, before You brought forth the earth and the world, from eternity to eternity You are God.

תָּשֵׁב אֱנוֹשׁ עַד־דַּכָּא וַתֹּאמֶר שׁוּבוּ בְנֵי־אָדָם׃

Tashev enosh ad daka, vatomer shuvu venei adam.

You return man to dust; You decreed, 'Return, you mortals!'

כִּי אֶלֶף שָׁנִים בְּעֵינֶיךָ כְּיוֹם אֶתְמוֹל כִּי יַעֲבֹר וְאַשְׁמוּרָה בַלָּיְלָה׃

Ki elef shanim be'einecha keyom etmol ki ya'avor, ve'ashmura balayla.

For in Your sight a thousand years are like yesterday that has passed, like a watch of the night.

זְרַמְתָּם שֵׁנָה יִהְיוּ בַּבֹּקֶר כֶּחָצִיר יַחֲלֹף׃

Zeramtam shena yihyu, baboker kechatzir yachalof.

You engulf men in sleep; at daybreak they are like grass that renews itself;

בַּבֹּקֶר יָצִיץ וְחָלָף לָעֶרֶב יְמוֹלֵל וְיָבֵשׁ׃

Baboker yatzitz vechalaf, la'erev yemolel veyavesh.

at daybreak it flourishes anew; by dusk it withers and dries up.

כִּי־כָלִינוּ בְאַפֶּךָ וּבַחֲמָתְךָ נִבְהָלְנוּ׃

Ki chalinu ve'apecha, uvachamatcha nivhalnu.

So we are consumed by Your anger, terror-struck by Your fury.

שַׁתָּ עֲוֺנֹתֵינוּ לְנֶגְדֶּךָ עֲלֻמֵנוּ לִמְאוֹר פָּנֶיךָ׃

Shata avonotenu lenegdecha, alumenu lim'or panecha.

You have set our iniquities before You, our hidden sins in the light of Your face.

כִּי כָל־יָמֵינוּ פָּנוּ בְעֶבְרָתֶךָ כִּלִּינוּ שָׁנֵינוּ כְמוֹ־הֶגֶה׃

Ki chol yameinu panu ve'evratecha, kilinu shaneinu chemo hege.

All our days pass away in Your wrath; we spend our years like a sigh.

יְמֵי־שְׁנוֹתֵינוּ בָהֶם שִׁבְעִים שָׁנָה וְאִם בִּגְבוּרֹת שְׁמוֹנִים שָׁנָה וְרָהְבָּם עָמָל וָאָוֶן כִּי־גָז חִישׁ וַנָּעֻפָה׃

Yemei shenoteinu vahem shiv'im shana, ve'im bigvurot shemonim shana, verahbam amal va'aven, ki gaz chish vana'ufa.

The span of our life is seventy years, or, given the strength, eighty years; but their pride is trouble and sorrow. It passes quickly, and we fly away.

מִי־יוֹדֵעַ עֹז אַפֶּךָ וּכְיִרְאָתְךָ עֶבְרָתֶךָ׃

Mi yode'a oz apecha, uchyir'atcha evratecha.

Who knows the power of Your anger, Your wrath matches the fear of You.

לִמְנוֹת יָמֵינוּ כֵּן הוֹדַע וְנָבִא לְבַב חָכְמָה׃

Limnot yameinu ken hoda, venavi levav chochma.

Teach us to count our days rightly, that we may obtain a wise heart.

שׁוּבָה יְהוָה עַד־מָתָי וְהִנָּחֵם עַל־עֲבָדֶיךָ׃

Shuva Adonai ad matai, vehinachem al avadecha.

Turn, O LORD! How long? Show compassion to Your servants.

שַׂבְּעֵנוּ בַבֹּקֶר חַסְדֶּךָ וּנְרַנְּנָה וְנִשְׂמְחָה בְּכָל־יָמֵינוּ׃

Sab'enu vaboker chasdecha, uneranena venismecha bechol yameinu.

Satisfy us at daybreak with Your steadfast love, that we may sing for joy all our days.

שַׂמְּחֵנוּ כִּימוֹת עִנִּיתָנוּ שְׁנוֹת רָאִינוּ רָעָה׃

Samchenu kimot initanu, shenot ra'inu ra'a.

Give us joy for as long as You have afflicted us, for the years we have suffered misfortune.

יֵרָאֶה אֶל־עֲבָדֶיךָ פָעֳלֶךָ וַהֲדָרְךָ עַל־בְּנֵיהֶם׃

Yera'e el avadecha fa'olecha, vahadarcha al beneihem.

Let Your deeds be seen by Your servants, Your glory by their children.

וִיהִי נֹעַם אֲדֹנָי אֱלֹהֵינוּ עָלֵינוּ וּמַעֲשֵׂה יָדֵינוּ כּוֹנְנָה עָלֵינוּ וּמַעֲשֵׂה יָדֵינוּ כּוֹנְנֵהוּ׃

Vihi no'am Adonai Eloheinu aleinu, uma'ase yadeinu konena aleinu, uma'ase yadeinu konenehu.

May the favor of the Lord our God be upon us; let the work of our hands prosper, O prosper the work of our hands!
