תהילים פרק פ״ד

לַמְנַצֵּחַ עַל־הַגִּתִּית לִבְנֵי־קֹרַח מִזְמוֹר׃

Lamnatzei'ach al hagitit livnei Korach mizmor.

For the leader; on the gittith. Of the Korahites. A psalm.

מַה־יְּדִידוֹת מִשְׁכְּנוֹתֶיךָ יְהוָה צְבָאוֹת׃

Ma yedidot mishkenotecha Adonai Tzeva'ot.

How lovely is Your dwelling-place, O LORD of hosts.

נִכְסְפָה וְגַם־כָּלְתָה נַפְשִׁי לְחַצְרוֹת יְהוָה לִבִּי וּבְשָׂרִי יְרַנְּנוּ אֶל אֵל־חָי׃

Nichsefa vegam kalta nafshi lechatzrot Adonai, libi uvsari yeranenu el El chai.

I long, I yearn for the courts of the LORD; my heart and body shout for joy to the living God.

גַּם־צִפּוֹר מָצְאָה בַיִת וּדְרוֹר קֵן לָהּ אֲשֶׁר־שָׁתָה אֶפְרֹחֶיהָ אֶת־מִזְבְּחוֹתֶיךָ יְהוָה צְבָאוֹת מַלְכִּי וֵאלֹהָי׃

Gam tzipor matza vayit udror ken la asher shata efrocheiha, et mizbechotecha Adonai Tzeva'ot malki vElohai.

Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself in which to set her young, near Your altar, O LORD of hosts, my king and my God.

אַשְׁרֵי יוֹשְׁבֵי בֵיתֶךָ עוֹד יְהַלְלוּךָ סֶלָה׃

Ashrei yoshvei veitecha, od yehaleluch sela.

Happy are those who dwell in Your house; they forever praise You. Selah.

אַשְׁרֵי אָדָם עוֹז־לוֹ בָךְ מְסִלּוֹת בִּלְבָבָם׃

Ashrei adam oz lo vach, mesilot bilvavam.

Happy is the man who finds refuge in You, whose mind is on the pilgrim highways.

עֹבְרֵי בְּעֵמֶק הַבָּכָא מַעְיָן יְשִׁיתוּהוּ גַּם־בְּרָכוֹת יַעְטֶה מוֹרֶה׃

Ovrei be'emek habacha ma'yan yeshituhu, gam berachot ya'ate more.

They pass through the Valley of Baca, regarding it as a place of springs, as if the early rain had covered it with blessings.

יֵלְכוּ מֵחַיִל אֶל־חָיִל יֵרָאֶה אֶל־אֱלֹהִים בְּצִיּוֹן׃

Yelchu mechayil el chayil, yera'e el Elohim beTziyon.

They go from rampart to rampart, appearing before God in Zion.

יְהוָה אֱלֹהִים צְבָאוֹת שִׁמְעָה תְפִלָּתִי הַאֲזִינָה אֱלֹהֵי יַעֲקֹב סֶלָה׃

Adonai Elohim Tzeva'ot shim'a tefilati, ha'azina Elohei Ya'akov sela.

O LORD, God of hosts, hear my prayer; give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah.

מָגִנֵּנוּ רְאֵה אֱלֹהִים וְהַבֵּט פְּנֵי מְשִׁיחֶךָ׃

Maginenu re'e Elohim, vehabet penei meshichecha.

O God, behold our shield, look upon the face of Your anointed.

כִּי טוֹב־יוֹם בַּחֲצֵרֶיךָ מֵאָלֶף בָּחַרְתִּי הִסְתּוֹפֵף בְּבֵית אֱלֹהַי מִדּוּר בְּאָהֳלֵי־רֶשַׁע׃

Ki tov yom bachatzerecha me'alef, bacharti histofef beveit Elohai, midur be'oholei resha.

Better one day in Your courts than a thousand [anywhere else]; I would rather stand at the threshold of God's house than dwell in the tents of the wicked.

כִּי שֶׁמֶשׁ וּמָגֵן יְהוָה אֱלֹהִים חֵן וְכָבוֹד יִתֵּן יְהוָה לֹא יִמְנַע־טוֹב לַהֹלְכִים בְּתָמִים׃

Ki shemesh umagen Adonai Elohim, chen vechavod yiten Adonai, lo yimna tov laholchim betamim.

For the LORD God is sun and shield; the LORD bestows grace and glory; He does not withhold His bounty from those who live without blame.

יְהוָה צְבָאוֹת אַשְׁרֵי אָדָם בֹּטֵחַ בָּךְ׃

Adonai Tzeva'ot, ashrei adam bote'ach bach.

O LORD of hosts, happy is the man who trusts in You.
