תהילים פרק פ״ג

שִׁיר מִזְמוֹר לְאָסָף׃

Shir mizmor le'Asaf.

A song, a psalm of Asaph.

אֱלֹהִים אַל־דֳּמִי־לָךְ אַל־תֶּחֱרַשׁ וְאַל־תִּשְׁקֹט אֵל׃

Elohim al domi lach, al techerash ve'al tishkot El.

O God, do not be silent; do not hold aloof; do not be quiet, O God!

כִּי־הִנֵּה אוֹיְבֶיךָ יֶהֱמָיוּן וּמְשַׂנְאֶיךָ נָשְׂאוּ רֹאשׁ׃

Ki hine oyvecha yehemayun, umesan'echa nas'u rosh.

For Your enemies rage, Your foes assert themselves.

עַל־עַמְּךָ יַעֲרִימוּ סוֹד וְיִתְיָעֲצוּ עַל־צְפוּנֶיךָ׃

Al amcha ya'arimu sod, veyitya'atzu al tzefunecha.

They plot craftily against Your people, take counsel against Your treasured ones.

אָמְרוּ לְכוּ וְנַכְחִידֵם מִגּוֹי וְלֹא־יִזָּכֵר שֵׁם־יִשְׂרָאֵל עוֹד׃

Amru lechu venachchidem migoy, velo yizacher shem Yisrael od.

They say, 'Let us wipe them out as a nation; Israel's name will be mentioned no more.'

כִּי נוֹעֲצוּ לֵב יַחְדָּו עָלֶיךָ בְּרִית יִכְרֹתוּ׃

Ki no'atzu lev yachdav, alecha berit yichrot.

Unanimous in their counsel they have made an alliance against You—

אָהֳלֵי אֱדוֹם וְיִשְׁמְעֵאלִים מוֹאָב וְהַגְרִים׃

Oholei Edom veYishme'elim, Mo'av veHagrim.

the clans of Edom and the Ishmaelites, Moab and the Hagrites,

גְּבָל וְעַמּוֹן וַעֲמָלֵק פְּלֶשֶׁת עִם־יֹשְׁבֵי צוֹר׃

Geval ve'Amon va'Amalek, Peleshet im yoshvei Tzor.

Gebal, Ammon, and Amalek, Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre.

גַּם־אַשּׁוּר נִלְוָה עִמָּם הָיוּ זְרוֹעַ לִבְנֵי־לוֹט סֶלָה׃

Gam Ashur nilva imam, hayu zero'a livnei Lot sela.

Assyria too has joined them; they give support to the sons of Lot. Selah.

עֲשֵׂה־לָהֶם כְּמִדְיָן כְּסִיסְרָא כְיָבִין בְּנַחַל קִישׁוֹן׃

Ase lahem keMidyan, keSisra cheYavin benachal Kishon.

Do to them as You did to Midian, to Sisera, to Jabin, at the brook Kishon—

נִשְׁמְדוּ בְעֵין־דֹּאר הָיוּ דֹּמֶן לָאֲדָמָה׃

Nishmedu ve'Ein Dor, hayu domen la'adama.

who were destroyed at En-dor, who became dung for the field.

שִׁיתֵמוֹ נְדִיבֵמוֹ כְּעֹרֵב וְכִזְאֵב וּכְזֶבַח וּכְצַלְמֻנָּע כָּל־נְסִיכֵמוֹ׃

Shitemo nedivemo ke'Orev vecheZe'ev, ucheZevach ucheZalmuna kol nesichemo.

Treat their great men like Oreb and Zeeb, all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,

אֲשֶׁר אָמְרוּ נִירְשָׁה לָּנוּ אֵת נְאוֹת אֱלֹהִים׃

Asher amru nirsha lanu et ne'ot Elohim.

who said, 'Let us take the meadows of God as our possession.'

אֱלֹהַי שִׁיתֵמוֹ כַגַּלְגַּל כְּקַשׁ לִפְנֵי־רוּחַ׃

Elohai shitemo chagalgal, kekash lifnei ru'ach.

O my God, make them like whirling dust, like stubble before the wind.

כְּאֵשׁ תִּבְעַר־יָעַר וּכְלֶהָבָה תְּלַהֵט הָרִים׃

Ke'esh tiv'ar ya'ar, uchlehava telahet harim.

As a fire burns a forest, as flames scorch the hills,

כֵּן תִּרְדְּפֵם בְּסַעֲרֶךָ וּבְסוּפָתְךָ תְבַהֲלֵם׃

Ken tirdefem besa'arecha, uvesufatcha tevahalem.

so pursue them with Your tempest, terrify them with Your storm.

מַלֵּא פְנֵיהֶם קָלוֹן וִיבַקְשׁוּ שִׁמְךָ יְהוָה׃

Male fneihem kalon, vivakshu shimcha Adonai.

Cover their faces with shame, so that they seek Your name, O LORD.

יֵבֹשׁוּ וְיִבָּהֲלוּ עֲדֵי־עַד וְיַחְפְּרוּ וְיֹאבֵדוּ׃

Yevoshu veyibahalu adei ad, veyachperu veyovedu.

May they be frustrated and terrified forever; may they be shamed and perish.

וְיֵדְעוּ כִּי־אַתָּה שִׁמְךָ יְהוָה לְבַדֶּךָ עֶלְיוֹן עַל־כָּל־הָאָרֶץ׃

Veyed'u ki Ata shimcha Adonai levadecha, Elyon al kol ha'aretz.

May they know that Your name, Yours alone, is the LORD, supreme over all the earth.
