תהילים פרק פ״א

לַמְנַצֵּחַ עַל־הַגִּתִּית לְאָסָף׃

Lamnatzei'ach al hagitit le'Asaf.

For the leader; on the gittith. Of Asaph.

הַרְנִינוּ לֵאלֹהִים עוּזֵּנוּ הָרִיעוּ לֵאלֹהֵי יַעֲקֹב׃

Harninu lElohim uzenu, hari'u lElohei Ya'akov.

Sing joyously to God, our strength; raise a shout for the God of Jacob.

שְׂאוּ־זִמְרָה וּתְנוּ־תֹף כִּנּוֹר נָעִים עִם־נָבֶל׃

Se'u zimra utenu tof, kinor na'im im navel.

Take up the song, sound the timbrel, the melodious lyre and harp.

תִּקְעוּ בַחֹדֶשׁ שׁוֹפָר בַּכֵּסֶה לְיוֹם חַגֵּנוּ׃

Tik'u vachodesh shofar, bakese leyom chagenu.

Blow the horn on the new moon, on the full moon for our feast day.

כִּי חֹק לְיִשְׂרָאֵל הוּא מִשְׁפָּט לֵאלֹהֵי יַעֲקֹב׃

Ki chok leYisrael hu, mishpat lElohei Ya'akov.

For it is a law for Israel, a ruling of the God of Jacob;

עֵדוּת בִּיהוֹסֵף שָׂמוֹ בְּצֵאתוֹ עַל־אֶרֶץ מִצְרָיִם שְׂפַת לֹא־יָדַעְתִּי אֶשְׁמָע׃

Edut biYhosef samo, betzeto al eretz Mitzrayim, sfat lo yadati eshma.

He imposed it as a decree upon Joseph when he went forth from the land of Egypt; I heard a language that I knew not.

הֲסִירוֹתִי מִסֵּבֶל שִׁכְמוֹ כַּפָּיו מִדּוּד תַּעֲבֹרְנָה׃

Hasiroti misevel shichmo, kapav midud ta'avorna.

I relieved his shoulder of the burden, his hands were freed from the basket.

בַּצָּרָה קָרָאתָ וָאֲחַלְּצֶךָּ אֶעֶנְךָ בְּסֵתֶר רַעַם אֶבְחָנְךָ עַל־מֵי מְרִיבָה סֶלָה׃

Batzara karata va'achaletzeka, e'encha beseter ra'am, evchoncha al mei Meriva sela.

In distress you called and I rescued you; I answered you from the secret place of thunder; I tested you at the waters of Meribah. Selah.

שְׁמַע עַמִּי וְאָעִידָה בָּךְ יִשְׂרָאֵל אִם־תִּשְׁמַע־לִי׃

Shma ami ve'a'ida bach, Yisrael im tishma li.

Hear, My people, and I will admonish you; Israel, if you would but listen to Me!

לֹא־יִהְיֶה בְךָ אֵל זָר וְלֹא תִשְׁתַּחֲוֶה לְאֵל נֵכָר׃

Lo yihye vecha el zar, velo tishtachave le'el nechar.

You shall have no foreign god, you shall not bow to an alien god.

אָנֹכִי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ הַמַּעַלְךָ מֵאֶרֶץ מִצְרָיִם הַרְחֶב־פִּיךָ וַאֲמַלְאֵהוּ׃

Anochi Adonai Elohecha hama'alcha me'eretz Mitzrayim, harchev picha va'amal'ehu.

I the LORD am your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt; open your mouth wide and I will fill it.

וְלֹא־שָׁמַע עַמִּי לְקוֹלִי וְיִשְׂרָאֵל לֹא־אָבָה לִי׃

Velo shama ami lekoli, veYisrael lo ava li.

But My people would not listen to Me, Israel would not yield to Me.

וָאֲשַׁלְּחֵהוּ בִּשְׁרִירוּת לִבָּם יֵלְכוּ בְּמוֹעֲצוֹתֵיהֶם׃

Va'ashalechu bishririut libam, yelchu bemo'atzoteihem.

So I let them go after their willful heart that they might follow their own devices.

לוּ עַמִּי שֹׁמֵעַ לִי יִשְׂרָאֵל בִּדְרָכַי יְהַלֵּכוּ׃

Lu ami shome'a li, Yisrael bidrachai yehallechu.

If only My people would listen to Me, if Israel would follow My paths,

כִּמְעַט אוֹיְבֵיהֶם אַכְנִיעַ וְעַל צָרֵיהֶם אָשִׁיב יָדִי׃

Kim'at oyveihem achni'a, ve'al tzareihem ashiv yadi.

I would soon subdue their enemies, and turn My hand against their foes.

מְשַׂנְאֵי יְהוָה יְכַחֲשׁוּ־לוֹ וִיהִי עִתָּם לְעוֹלָם׃

Mesan'ei Adonai yechachashu lo, vihi itam le'olam.

Those who hate the LORD shall cower before Him; their doom shall last forever.

וַיַּאֲכִילֵהוּ מֵחֵלֶב חִטָּה וּמִצּוּר דְּבַשׁ אַשְׂבִּיעֶךָ׃

Vaya'achilehu mechelev chita, umitzur devash asbi'echa.

I would feed him with the finest wheat; I would satisfy you with honey from the rock.
