תהילים פרק ס״ח

לַמְנַצֵּחַ לְדָוִד מִזְמוֹר שִׁיר׃

Lamnatzei'ach leDavid mizmor shir.

For the leader. Of David. A psalm. A song.

יָקוּם אֱלֹהִים יָפוּצוּ אוֹיְבָיו וְיָנוּסוּ מְשַׂנְאָיו מִפָּנָיו׃

Yakum Elohim yafutzu oyvav, veyanusu mesan'av mipanav.

God will arise, His enemies shall be scattered, His foes shall flee before Him.

כְּהִנְדֹּף עָשָׁן תִּנְדֹּף כְּהִמֵּס דּוֹנַג מִפְּנֵי־אֵשׁ יֹאבְדוּ רְשָׁעִים מִפְּנֵי אֱלֹהִים׃

Kehindof ashan tindof, kehimes donag mipnei esh, yovdu resha'im mipnei Elohim.

Disperse them as smoke is dispersed; as wax melts at fire, so the wicked shall perish before God.

וְצַדִּיקִים יִשְׂמְחוּ יַעַלְצוּ לִפְנֵי אֱלֹהִים וְיָשִׂישׂוּ בְשִׂמְחָה׃

Vetzadikim yismechu ya'altzu lifnei Elohim, veyasisu vesimcha.

But the righteous shall rejoice; they shall exult in the presence of God; they shall be exceedingly joyful.

שִׁירוּ לֵאלֹהִים זַמְּרוּ שְׁמוֹ סֹלּוּ לָרֹכֵב בָּעֲרָבוֹת בְּיָהּ שְׁמוֹ וְעִלְזוּ לְפָנָיו׃

Shiru lElohim zamru shemo, solu larochev ba'aravot, beYah shemo ve'ilzu lefanav.

Sing to God, chant hymns to His name; extol Him who rides the clouds; the LORD is His name. Exult in His presence—

אֲבִי יְתוֹמִים וְדַיַּן אַלְמָנוֹת אֱלֹהִים בִּמְעוֹן קָדְשׁוֹ׃

Avi yetomim vedayan almanot, Elohim bim'on kodsho.

the father of orphans, the champion of widows, God, in His holy habitation.

אֱלֹהִים מוֹשִׁיב יְחִידִים בַּיְתָה מוֹצִיא אֲסִירִים בַּכּוֹשָׁרוֹת אַךְ סוֹרְרִים שָׁכְנוּ צְחִיחָה׃

Elohim moshiv yechidim bayta, motzi asirim bakosharot, ach sorerim shachnu tzechicha.

God restores the lonely to their homes, sets free the imprisoned, safe and sound, while the rebellious must live in a parched land.

אֱלֹהִים בְּצֵאתְךָ לִפְנֵי עַמֶּךָ בְּצַעְדְּךָ בִישִׁימוֹן סֶלָה׃

Elohim betzet'cha lifnei amecha, betzad'decha vishimon sela.

O God, when You went at the head of Your army, when You marched through the desert, selah

אֶרֶץ רָעָשָׁה אַף־שָׁמַיִם נָטְפוּ מִפְּנֵי אֱלֹהִים זֶה סִינַי מִפְּנֵי אֱלֹהִים אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל׃

Eretz ra'asha af shamayim natfu mipnei Elohim, ze Sinai mipnei Elohim Elohei Yisrael.

the earth trembled, the sky rained because of God, yon Sinai, because of God, the God of Israel.

גֶּשֶׁם נְדָבוֹת תָּנִיף אֱלֹהִים נַחֲלָתְךָ וְנִלְאָה אַתָּה כוֹנַנְתָּהּ׃

Geshem nedavot tanif Elohim, nachalatcha venilah ata conantah.

You released a bountiful rain, O God; when Your own land languished, You sustained it.

חַיָּתְךָ יָשְׁבוּ־בָהּ תָּכִין־בְּטוֹבָתְךָ לֶעָנִי אֱלֹהִים׃

Chayatcha yashvu vah, tachin betovatcha le'ani Elohim.

Your tribe dwells there; O God, in Your goodness You provide for the needy.

אֲדֹנָי יִתֶּן־אֹמֶר הַמְבַשְּׂרוֹת צָבָא רָב׃

Adonai yiten omer, hamevasrot tzava rav.

The Lord gives a command; the women who bring the news are a great host:

מַלְכֵי צְבָאוֹת יִדֹּדוּן יִדֹּדוּן וּנְוַת־בַּיִת תְּחַלֵּק שָׁלָל׃

Malchei tzeva'ot yidodun yidodun, unvat bayit techalek shalal.

"The kings and their armies are in headlong flight; housewives are sharing in the spoils;

אִם־תִּשְׁכְּבוּן בֵּין שְׁפַתָּיִם כַּנְפֵי יוֹנָה נֶחְפָּה בַכֶּסֶף וְאֶבְרוֹתֶיהָ בִּירַקְרַק חָרוּץ׃

Im tishkevun bein shefatayim, kanfei yona nechpa vakesef, ve'evroteha birakrak charutz.

even for those of you who lie among the sheepfolds there are wings of a dove sheathed in silver, its pinions in fine gold."

בְּפָרֵשׂ שַׁדַּי מְלָכִים בָּהּ תַּשְׁלֵג בְּצַלְמוֹן׃

Befares Shaddai melachim bah, tashlég beTzalmon.

When Shaddai scattered the kings, it seemed like a snowstorm in Zalmon.

הַר־אֱלֹהִים הַר־בָּשָׁן הַר גַּבְנֻנִּים הַר־בָּשָׁן׃

Har Elohim har Bashan, har gavnunim har Bashan.

O majestic mountain, Mount Bashan; O jagged mountain, Mount Bashan;

לָמָּה תְּרַצְּדוּן הָרִים גַּבְנֻנִּים הָהָר חָמַד אֱלֹהִים לְשִׁבְתּוֹ אַף־יְהוָה יִשְׁכֹּן לָנֶצַח׃

Lama teratzedun harim gavnunim, hahar chamad Elohim leshivto, af Adonai yishkon lanetzach.

why so hostile, O jagged mountains, toward the mountain God desired as His dwelling? The LORD shall abide there forever.

רֶכֶב אֱלֹהִים רִבֹּתַיִם אַלְפֵי שִׁנְאָן אֲדֹנָי בָם סִינַי בַּקֹּדֶשׁ׃

Rechev Elohim ribotayim alfei shin'an, Adonai vam Sinai bakodesh.

God's chariots are myriads upon myriads, thousands upon thousands; the Lord is among them as in Sinai in holiness.

עָלִיתָ לַמָּרוֹם שָׁבִיתָ שֶּׁבִי לָקַחְתָּ מַתָּנוֹת בָּאָדָם וְאַף סוֹרְרִים לִשְׁכֹּן יָהּ אֱלֹהִים׃

Alita lamarom shavita shevi, lakachta matanot ba'adam, ve'af sorerim lishkon Yah Elohim.

You went up to the heights, having taken captives, having received tribute of men, even of those who rebel against the LORD God's abiding there.

בָּרוּךְ אֲדֹנָי יוֹם יוֹם יַעֲמׇס־לָנוּ הָאֵל יְשׁוּעָתֵנוּ סֶלָה׃

Baruch Adonai yom yom ya'amos lanu, ha'El yeshu'atenu sela.

Blessed is the Lord. Day by day He supports us, God, our deliverance. Selah.

הָאֵל לָנוּ אֵל לְמוֹשָׁעוֹת וְלֵיהֹוִה אֲדֹנָי לַמָּוֶת תּוֹצָאוֹת׃

Ha'El lanu El lemosh'aot, velAdonai Adonai lamavet totza'ot.

God is for us a God of deliverance; GOD the Lord provides an escape from death.

אַךְ־אֱלֹהִים יִמְחַץ רֹאשׁ אֹיְבָיו קׇדְקֹד שֵׂעָר מִתְהַלֵּךְ בַּאֲשָׁמָיו׃

Ach Elohim yimchatz rosh oyvav, kodkod se'ar mithaleich ba'ashamav.

God will smash the heads of His enemies, the hairy crown of him who walks about in his guilt.

אָמַר אֲדֹנָי מִבָּשָׁן אָשִׁיב אָשִׁיב מִמְּצֻלוֹת יָם׃

Amar Adonai miBashan ashiv, ashiv mimetzulot yam.

The Lord said, "I will retrieve from Bashan, I will retrieve from the depths of the sea;

לְמַעַן תִּמְחַץ רַגְלְךָ בְּדָם לְשׁוֹן כְּלָבֶיךָ מֵאֹיְבִים מִנֵּהוּ׃

Lema'an timchatz raglecha bedam, leshon kelavecha me'oyvim minehu.

that your feet may wade through blood; that the tongue of your dogs may have its portion of your enemies."

רָאוּ הֲלִיכוֹתֶיךָ אֱלֹהִים הֲלִיכוֹת אֵלִי מַלְכִּי בַקֹּדֶשׁ׃

Ra'u halichotecha Elohim, halichot Eli malki bakodesh.

Men see Your processions, O God, the processions of my God, my king, into the sanctuary.

קִדְּמוּ שָׁרִים אַחַר נֹגְנִים בְּתוֹךְ עֲלָמוֹת תּוֹפֵפוֹת׃

Kidmu sharim achar nognim, betoch alamot tofefot.

First come singers, then musicians, amidst maidens playing timbrels.

בְּמַקְהֵלוֹת בָּרְכוּ אֱלֹהִים אֲדֹנָי מִמְּקוֹר יִשְׂרָאֵל׃

Bemakhelot barchu Elohim, Adonai mimekor Yisrael.

In assemblies bless God, the LORD, O you who are from the fountain of Israel.

שָׁם בִּנְיָמִן צָעִיר רֹדֵם שָׂרֵי יְהוּדָה רִגְמָתָם שָׂרֵי זְבֻלוּן שָׂרֵי נַפְתָּלִי׃

Sham Binyamin tza'ir rodem, sarei Yehuda rigmatam, sarei Zevulun sarei Naftali.

There is little Benjamin who rules them, the princes of Judah who command them, the princes of Zebulun and Naphtali.

צִוָּה אֱלֹהֶיךָ עֻזֶּךָ עוּזָּה אֱלֹהִים זוּ פָּעַלְתָּ לָּנוּ׃

Tziva Elohecha uzecha, uza Elohim zu pa'alta lanu.

Your God has ordained strength for you, the strength, O God, which You displayed for us

מֵהֵיכָלֶךָ עַל־יְרוּשָׁלָיִם לְךָ יוֹבִילוּ מְלָכִים שָׁי׃

Mehechalecha al Yerushalayim, lecha yovilu melachim shai.

from Your temple above Jerusalem. The kings bring You tribute.

גְּעַר חַיַּת קָנֶה עֲדַת אַבִּירִים בְּעֶגְלֵי עַמִּים מִתְרַפֵּס בְּרַצֵּי־כָסֶף בִּזַּר עַמִּים קְרָבוֹת יֶחְפָּצוּ׃

Ge'ar chayat kaneh, adat abirim be'eglei amim, mitrapes beratzei chasef, bizar amim keravot yechpatzu.

Blast the beast of the marsh, the herd of bulls among the peoples, the calves, till they come cringing with pieces of silver. Scatter the peoples who delight in wars!

יֶאֱתָיוּ חַשְׁמַנִּים מִנִּי מִצְרָיִם כּוּשׁ תָּרִיץ יָדָיו לֵאלֹהִים׃

Ye'etayu chashmanim mini Mitzrayim, Kush taritz yadav lElohim.

Tribute-bearers shall come from Egypt; Cush shall hasten its gifts to God.

מַמְלְכוֹת הָאָרֶץ שִׁירוּ לֵאלֹהִים זַמְּרוּ אֲדֹנָי סֶלָה׃

Mamlachot ha'aretz shiru lElohim, zamru Adonai sela.

O kingdoms of the earth, sing to God; chant hymns to the Lord, selah

לָרֹכֵב בִּשְׁמֵי שְׁמֵי־קֶדֶם הֵן יִתֵּן בְּקוֹלוֹ קוֹל עֹז׃

Larochev bishmei shemei kedem, hen yiten bekolo kol oz.

to Him who rides the ancient highest heavens, who thunders forth with His mighty voice.

תְּנוּ עֹז לֵאלֹהִים עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵל גַּאֲוָתוֹ וְעֻזּוֹ בַּשְּׁחָקִים׃

Tenu oz lElohim, al Yisrael ga'avato ve'uzo bashchakim.

Ascribe might to God, whose majesty is over Israel, whose might is in the skies.

נוֹרָא אֱלֹהִים מִמִּקְדָּשֶׁיךָ אֵל יִשְׂרָאֵל הוּא נֹתֵן עֹז וְתַעֲצֻמוֹת לָעָם בָּרוּךְ אֱלֹהִים׃

Nora Elohim mimikdashecha, El Yisrael hu noten oz veta'atzumot la'am, baruch Elohim.

You are awesome, O God, in Your holy places; it is the God of Israel who gives might and power to the people. Blessed is God.
