תהילים פרק קמ״ט

הַלְלוּ־יָהּ שִׁירוּ לַיהוָה שִׁיר חָדָשׁ תְּהִלָּתוֹ בִּקְהַל חֲסִידִים׃

Halelu-Yah, shiru laAdonai shir chadash, tehilato bikhal chasidim.

Praise the LORD. Sing to the LORD a new song, His praise in the assembly of His faithful people.

יִשְׂמַח יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּעֹשָׂיו בְּנֵי־צִיּוֹן יָגִילוּ בְמַלְכָּם׃

Yismach Yisrael be'osav, bnei Tziyon yagilu vemalcam.

Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; let the people of Zion be glad in their King.

יְהַלְלוּ שְׁמוֹ בְמָחוֹל בְּתֹף וְכִנּוֹר יְזַמְּרוּ־לוֹ׃

Yehalelu shemo vemachol, betof vechinor yezamru lo.

Let them praise His name with dancing and make music to Him with timbrel and harp.

כִּי־רוֹצֶה יְהוָה בְּעַמּוֹ יְפָאֵר עֲנָוִים בִּישׁוּעָה׃

Ki rotze Adonai be'amo, yefa'er anavim bishu'a.

For the LORD takes delight in His people; He crowns the humble with victory.

יַעְלְזוּ חֲסִידִים בְּכָבוֹד יְרַנְּנוּ עַל־מִשְׁכְּבוֹתָם׃

Ya'lezu chasidim bechavod, yeranenu al mishkevotam.

Let His faithful people rejoice in this honor and sing for joy on their beds.

רוֹמְמוֹת אֵל בִּגְרוֹנָם וְחֶרֶב פִּיפִיּוֹת בְּיָדָם׃

Romemot El bigronam, vecherev pifiyot beyadam.

May the praise of God be in their mouths and a double-edged sword in their hands,

לַעֲשׂוֹת נְקָמָה בַּגּוֹיִם תּוֹכֵחוֹת בַּלְאֻמִּים׃

La'asot nekama bagoyim, tochechot bal'umim.

to inflict vengeance on the nations and punishment on the peoples,

לֶאְסֹר מַלְכֵיהֶם בְּזִקִּים וְנִכְבְּדֵיהֶם בְּכַבְלֵי בַרְזֶל׃

Le'esor malcheihem bezikim, venichbedeihem bechavlei varzel.

to bind their kings with fetters, their nobles with shackles of iron,

לַעֲשׂוֹת בָּהֶם מִשְׁפָּט כָּתוּב הָדָר הוּא לְכָל־חֲסִידָיו הַלְלוּ־יָהּ׃

La'asot bahem mishpat katuv, hadar hu lechol chasidav, Halelu-Yah.

to carry out the sentence written against them—this is the glory of all His faithful people. Praise the LORD.
