תהילים פרק ק״כ

שִׁיר הַמַּעֲלוֹת אֶל־יְהוָה בַּצָּרָתָה לִּי קָרָאתִי וַיַּעֲנֵנִי׃

Shir hama'alot. El Adonai batzarata li karati vaya'aneni.

A song of ascents. In my distress I called to the LORD, and He answered me.

יְהוָה הַצִּילָה נַפְשִׁי מִשְּׂפַת־שֶׁקֶר מִלָּשׁוֹן רְמִיָּה׃

Adonai hatzila nafshi misfat sheker, milashon remiya.

O LORD, save my life from lying lips, from a deceitful tongue.

מַה־יִּתֵּן לְךָ וּמַה־יֹּסִיף לָךְ לָשׁוֹן רְמִיָּה׃

Ma yiten lecha uma yosif lach, lashon remiya.

What will He give you, what will He add to you, O deceitful tongue?

חִצֵּי גִבּוֹר שְׁנוּנִים עִם גַּחֲלֵי רְתָמִים׃

Chitzei gibor shenunim, im gachalei retamim.

Sharp arrows of a warrior, with coals of broom wood.

אוֹיָה־לִי כִּי־גַרְתִּי מֶשֶׁךְ שָׁכַנְתִּי עִם־אָהֳלֵי קֵדָר׃

Oya li ki garti Meshech, shachanti im oholei Kedar.

Woe is me, that I sojourn in Meshech, that I dwell among the tents of Kedar!

רַבַּת שָׁכְנָה־לָּהּ נַפְשִׁי עִם שׂוֹנֵא שָׁלוֹם׃

Rabat shachna la nafshi, im soneh shalom.

Too long have I dwelt with those who hate peace.

אֲנִי־שָׁלוֹם וְכִי אֲדַבֵּר הֵמָּה לַמִּלְחָמָה׃

Ani shalom vechi adaber, hema lamilchama.

I am for peace; but when I speak, they are for war.
