תהילים פרק קי״ב

הַלְלוּ־יָהּ אַשְׁרֵי־אִישׁ יָרֵא אֶת־יְהוָה בְּמִצְוֺתָיו חָפֵץ מְאֹד׃

Halelu-Yah! Ashrei ish yare et Adonai, bemitzvotav chafetz me'od.

Hallelujah! Happy is the man who fears the LORD, who greatly delights in His commandments.

גִּבּוֹר בָּאָרֶץ יִהְיֶה זַרְעוֹ דּוֹר יְשָׁרִים יְבֹרָךְ׃

Gibor ba'aretz yihye zar'o, dor yesharim yevorach.

His descendants will be mighty in the land, a generation of the upright who will be blessed.

הוֹן־וָעֹשֶׁר בְּבֵיתוֹ וְצִדְקָתוֹ עֹמֶדֶת לָעַד׃

Hon va'osher beveito, vetzidkato omedet la'ad.

Wealth and riches are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever.

זָרַח בַּחֹשֶׁךְ אוֹר לַיְשָׁרִים חַנּוּן וְרַחוּם וְצַדִּיק׃

Zarach bachoshech or layesharim, chanun verachum vetzadik.

Light dawns in the darkness for the upright; he is gracious, compassionate, and righteous.

טוֹב־אִישׁ חוֹנֵן וּמַלְוֶה יְכַלְכֵּל דְּבָרָיו בְּמִשְׁפָּט׃

Tov ish chonen umalveh, yechalkel devarav bemishpat.

Good comes to the man who is generous and lends, who conducts his affairs with equity.

כִּי־לְעוֹלָם לֹא־יִמּוֹט לְזֵכֶר עוֹלָם יִהְיֶה צַדִּיק׃

Ki le'olam lo yimot, lezecher olam yihye tzadik.

For he shall never be shaken; the righteous man will be remembered forever.

מִשְּׁמוּעָה רָעָה לֹא יִירָא נָכוֹן לִבּוֹ בָּטֻחַ בַּיהוָה׃

Mishmu'a ra'a lo yira, nachon libo batu'ach baAdonai.

He is not afraid of evil tidings; his heart is firm, trusting in the LORD.

סָמוּךְ לִבּוֹ לֹא יִירָא עַד אֲשֶׁר־יִרְאֶה בְצָרָיו׃

Samuch libo lo yira, ad asher yir'eh vetzarav.

His heart is steady, he is not afraid; in the end he will see the fall of his foes.

פִּזַּר נָתַן לָאֶבְיוֹנִים צִדְקָתוֹ עֹמֶדֶת לָעַד קַרְנוֹ תָּרוּם בְּכָבוֹד׃

Pizar natan la'evyonim, tzidkato omedet la'ad, karno tarum bechavod.

He gives freely to the poor; his righteousness endures forever; his horn is exalted in honor.

רָשָׁע יִרְאֶה וְכָעָס שִׁנָּיו יַחֲרֹק וְנָמָס תַּאֲוַת רְשָׁעִים תֹּאבֵד׃

Rasha yir'eh vecha'as, shinav yacharok venamas, ta'avat resha'im toved.

The wicked man shall see it and be vexed; he shall gnash his teeth and waste away; the desire of the wicked shall perish.
