תהילים פרק ק״ב

תְּפִלָּה לְעָנִי כִי־יַעֲטֹף וְלִפְנֵי יְהוָה יִשְׁפֹּךְ שִׂיחוֹ׃

Tefila le'ani chi ya'atof, velifnei Adonai yishpoch sicho.

A prayer of the lowly man when he is faint and pours forth his plea before the LORD.

יְהוָה שִׁמְעָה תְפִלָּתִי וְשַׁוְעָתִי אֵלֶיךָ תָבוֹא׃

Adonai shim'a tefilati, veshav'ati elecha tavo.

O LORD, hear my prayer; let my cry come before You.

אַל־תַּסְתֵּר פָּנֶיךָ מִמֶּנִּי בְּיוֹם צַר־לִי הַטֵּה־אֵלַי אָזְנֶךָ בְּיוֹם אֶקְרָא מַהֵר עֲנֵנִי׃

Al taster panecha mimeni beyom tzar li, hate elai oznecha beyom ekra maher aneni.

Do not hide Your face from me in my time of trouble; turn Your ear to me; when I cry, answer me speedily.

כִּי־כָלוּ בְעָשָׁן יָמָי וְעַצְמוֹתַי כְּמוֹ־קֵד נִחָרוּ׃

Ki chalu ve'ashan yamai, ve'atzmotai kemo ked nicharu.

For my days have vanished like smoke and my bones burn like a furnace.

הוּכָּה־כָעֵשֶׂב וַיִּבַשׁ לִבִּי כִּי־שָׁכַחְתִּי מֵאֲכֹל לַחְמִי׃

Huka cha'esev vayivash libi, ki shachachti me'echol lachmi.

My heart is stricken and withered like grass; I neglect to eat my bread.

מִקּוֹל אַנְחָתִי דָּבְקָה עַצְמִי לִבְשָׂרִי׃

Mikol anchati davka atzmi livsari.

From my loud groaning my bones show through my skin.

דָּמִיתִי לִקְאַת מִדְבָּר הָיִיתִי כְּכוֹס חֳרָבוֹת׃

Damiti likaat midbar, hayiti kechos choravot.

I am like a great owl of the wilderness, like an owl among the ruins.

שָׁקַדְתִּי וָאֶהְיֶה כְּצִפּוֹר בּוֹדֵד עַל־גָּג׃

Shakadeti va'ehye ketzipor boded al gag.

I lie awake; I am like a lonely bird on a rooftop.

כָּל־הַיּוֹם חֵרְפוּנִי אוֹיְבָי מְהוֹלָלַי בִּי נִשְׁבָּעוּ׃

Kol hayom cherfuni oyvai, meholalai bi nishba'u.

All day long my enemies mock me; those who deride me use my name to curse.

כִּי־אֵפֶר כַּלֶּחֶם אָכָלְתִּי וְשִׁקֻּוַי בִּבְכִי מָסָכְתִּי׃

Ki efer kalechem achalti, veshikuvai bivchi masachti.

For I have eaten ashes like bread, and mingled my drink with tears,

מִפְּנֵי־זַעַמְךָ וְקִצְפֶּךָ כִּי נְשָׂאתַנִי וַתַּשְׁלִיכֵנִי׃

Mipnei za'amcha vekitzpecha, ki nesatani vatashlicheini.

because of Your wrath and fury; for You have lifted me up and cast me aside.

יָמַי כְּצֵל נָטוּי וַאֲנִי כָּעֵשֶׂב אִיבָשׁ׃

Yamai ketzel natui, va'ani ka'esev ivash.

My days are like a lengthening shadow; I wither like grass.

וְאַתָּה יְהוָה לְעוֹלָם תֵּשֵׁב וְזִכְרְךָ לְדֹר וָדֹר׃

Ve'Ata Adonai le'olam teshev, vezichrecha ledor vador.

But You, O LORD, are enthroned forever; Your fame endures throughout the ages.

אַתָּה תָקוּם תְּרַחֵם צִיּוֹן כִּי־עֵת לְחֶנְנָהּ כִּי־בָא מוֹעֵד׃

Ata takum terachem Tziyon, ki et lechenenah ki va mo'ed.

You will surely arise and take pity on Zion, for it is time to be gracious to her; the appointed time has come.

כִּי־רָצוּ עֲבָדֶיךָ אֶת־אֲבָנֶיהָ וְאֶת־עֲפָרָהּ יְחֹנֵנוּ׃

Ki ratzu avadecha et avaneha, ve'et afarah yechonenu.

For Your servants take delight in her stones, and cherish her dust.

וְיִירְאוּ גוֹיִם אֶת־שֵׁם יְהוָה וְכָל־מַלְכֵי הָאָרֶץ אֶת־כְּבוֹדֶךָ׃

Veyir'u goyim et shem Adonai, vechol malchei ha'aretz et kevodecha.

Then the nations will fear the name of the LORD, all the kings of the earth, Your glory.

כִּי־בָנָה יְהוָה צִיּוֹן נִרְאָה בִּכְבוֹדוֹ׃

Ki vana Adonai Tziyon, nir'a bichvodo.

For the LORD has built Zion; He has appeared in His glory.

פָּנָה אֶל־תְּפִלַּת הָעַרְעָר וְלֹא־בָזָה אֶת־תְּפִלָּתָם׃

Pana el tefilat ha'ar'ar, velo vaza et tefilatam.

He has turned to the prayer of the destitute and has not spurned their prayer.

תִּכָּתֵב זֹאת לְדוֹר אַחֲרוֹן וְעַם נִבְרָא יְהַלֶּל־יָהּ׃

Tikatev zot ledor acharon, ve'am nivra yehalel Yah.

Let this be recorded for a coming generation, that people yet to be created may praise the LORD.

כִּי־הִשְׁקִיף מִמְּרוֹם קָדְשׁוֹ יְהוָה מִשָּׁמַיִם אֶל־אֶרֶץ הִבִּיט׃

Ki hishkif mimerom kodsho, Adonai mishamayim el eretz hibit.

For He looks down from His holy height; the LORD beholds the earth from heaven

לִשְׁמֹעַ אֶנְקַת אָסִיר לְפַתֵּחַ בְּנֵי תְמוּתָה׃

Lishmo'a enkat asir, lefate'ach benei temuta.

to hear the groans of the prisoner, to release those condemned to death;

לְסַפֵּר בְּצִיּוֹן שֵׁם יְהוָה וּתְהִלָּתוֹ בִּירוּשָׁלָיִם׃

Lesaper beTziyon shem Adonai, utehilato biYerushalayim.

that the name of the LORD may be proclaimed in Zion, His praises in Jerusalem,

בְּהִקָּבֵץ עַמִּים יַחְדָּו וּמַמְלָכוֹת לַעֲבֹד אֶת־יְהוָה׃

Behikavetz amim yachdav, umamlachot la'avod et Adonai.

when peoples gather together, kingdoms, to serve the LORD.

עִנָּה בַדֶּרֶךְ כֹּחִי קִצַּר יָמָי׃

Ina vaderech kochi, kitzar yamai.

He drained my strength in mid-course, He shortened my days.

אֹמַר אֵלִי אַל־תַּעֲלֵנִי בַּחֲצִי יָמָי בְּדוֹר דּוֹרִים שְׁנוֹתֶיךָ׃

Omar Eli al ta'aleni bachatzei yamai, bedor dorim shenotecha.

I say, 'O my God, do not take me away in the midst of my days, You whose years go on for generations on end.'

לְפָנִים הָאָרֶץ יָסַדְתָּ וּמַעֲשֵׂה יָדֶיךָ שָׁמָיִם׃

Lefanim ha'aretz yasadta, uma'aseh yadecha shamayim.

Of old You established the earth; the heavens are the work of Your hands.

הֵמָּה יֹאבֵדוּ וְאַתָּה תַעֲמֹד וְכֻלָּם כַּבֶּגֶד יִבְלוּ כַּלְּבוּשׁ תַּחֲלִיפֵם וְיַחֲלֹפוּ׃

Hema yovedu ve'Ata ta'amod, vechulam kabeged yivlu, kalvush tachalifem veyachalofu.

They shall perish, but You shall endure; they shall all wear out like a garment; You change them like clothing and they pass away.

וְאַתָּה־הוּא וּשְׁנוֹתֶיךָ לֹא יִתָּמּוּ׃

Ve'Ata hu ushenotecha lo yitamu.

But You are the same, and Your years never end.

בְּנֵי־עֲבָדֶיךָ יִשְׁכּוֹנוּ וְזַרְעָם לְפָנֶיךָ יִכּוֹן׃

Benei avadecha yishkonu, vezar'am lefanecha yikon.

May the children of Your servants dwell securely; may their offspring be established in Your presence.
